Meet Our Team
At our practice, each member of our staff is committed to providing prompt and professional service to all of our patients. We strive to do our best to accommodate your needs and to see that you leave our care in good health.
Narindi qualified in 1999 as an optometrist at the Rand Afrikaans University in Johannesburg joined Marianne Otto at Oakdene Optometrists in Comaro Crossing Shopping Centre and Marianne Otto Optometrists in Lambton. Oakdene Optometrists was sold in 2005 and a new practice, Narindi Jansen Optometrists was opened during March 2005 in the Lemon Tree Centre in Alberton.
Narindi completed several courses through the New England College of Optometry in Boston:
- Certificate of Advance Study in Biological Science and Clinical Medicine in September 2001
- Certificate of Advance Study in Ocular Disease and Diagnostic Pharmaceutical Application in October 2002 in collaboration with the University of Durban Westville and Wits
- Certificate of Advance Study in Binocular Vision, Pediatrics and related areas in August 2008
- Certificate of Advance Study in Contact Lenses, related Ocular Physiology and Anterior Segment Disease February 2012
- Diabetes course – Comprehensive Patient Care for the Primary Care Optometrist in May 2013
Narindi also does fitting of hard contact lenses and scleral lenses, enjoys working with children and also started Orthokeratology which helps with Myopia digression. (Read more about this in our services and contact lens tabs)
Marie Mentz
Receptionist
Marie has been with the practice for over 10 years. She knows all the medical aids and is very good with frame selections. Marie is ready to assist anyone with a query, in need of an appointment or quote.
Natasha Stapelberg
Frame and lens dispenser
Natasha is our new frame and lens dispenser that started in December 2017. Previously she worked in Meyerton for 3 years. She did extensive training at various labs in cutting and fitting of lenses as well as frame adjustments.
